Vice President Yemi Osinbaj was again a special guest at the Deeper Life Bible Church headquarters in Gbagada, Lagos on Sunday.

Osinbajo, alongside Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode were at an interdenominational church service marking Nigeria’s 58th Independence Anniversary at the church.

Osinbajo, during his speech, first appreciated the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor (Dr.) Williams F. Kumuyi for his participation at the 58th Independence celebration held in Abuja.

In his message titled ‘Coming Of Age’, Osinbajo made reference to Hebrews 11:24-29 where Moses, when he was come of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter.

“The message for our nation on this 58th anniversary is that, just like Moses, we have come of age and it is time for us to refuse corruption, the stealing of government resources.

“We must obey God by rejecting tribalism and all form of division.

“As our nation come of age, the destiny of our nation lies in our hands.”

Ambode who was seeing the newly renovated ultra-modern auditorium for the first time, said the state government will renovate some street roads within Gbagada to ease movement of traffic to and from the church.

He called for continued prayers from all Nigerians for the country.
