Reggae legend, Ras Kimono, is dead.

The reggae musician was rushed to the Lagoon Hospital in Ikoyi after he slumped on Saturday.

Ras Kimono later died in the hospital on Sunday morning.

Also confirming the death, is erstwhile chairman of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), Tony Okoroji, who had visited the legendary reggae musician in the hospital.

Ras Kimono, who died at the age of 60, rose to stardom after the release of his debut album ‘Under Pressure’ in the late ‘80s.

Most of the themes of his music was influenced by the hardship he experienced in his early life.
