Enugu Rangers have appointed Gbenga Ogunbote as the new coach of the side.

The club also appointed Davidson Owumi as their new General Manager.

Ogunbote, a former coach of Enyimba and Sunshine Stars, will replace Sylvanus Okpala who was in charge for two months after the sacking of Imama Amapakabo, while Owumi, former GM of Warri Wolves, will replace Christian Chukwu.

Amapakabo’s coaching crew and some of Chukwu’s top management staff were disengaged after Rangers failed to make top four finish as defending champions.

Chukwu was also accused of mismanagement.

Rangers also appointed Festus Onuh as the board chairman.

The new leaders were unveiled in Enugu on Wednesday.
