Ahmed Olalekan has paid the ultimate price in the course of the fight against cultism.

Olalekan, a former Chief Security Officer and member of the Students Forum, an anti-cultism group of the Polytechnic, Ibadan was killed by suspected cultists 
The graduate of the institution was shot dead on Monday night, by members of the dreaded Aiye Confraternity of Nigeria, who traced him to his apartment in Apete area of Ibadan. 

According to an eyewitness, the assailants shot the deceased at close range. 

They were said to have also cut him several times in the neck with an axe to ensure he was truly dead before leaving the scene.
The Students Forum is an anti-cultism group comprising of students and former students of the school.
Maku was involved in the fight against cultism through his activities as a member of the forum.

The killing of Olalekan enraged his colleagues and members of the forum, who blocked the Sango-Eleyele road in protest. 
Public Relations Officer of the forum, Adeyemi Ridwan, who was one of the last persons that saw the victim before his death, said the cultists had been threatening to strike for more than two weeks, blaming the school authority for not acting on the information.
"The school is aware of this. I left the school with Maku on Monday and when we got to Apete, I told him that we should go to a place but he said he wanted to go and rest at home so he alighted from the commercial motorcycle we took from school.

"Five minutes later, a lady called me and said that Maku had been killed by cultists who shot him in the neck in his apartment.”

Spokesperson for OyoState Police Command, ASP Adekunle Ajisebutu, who confirmed the incident said some arrests were made and exhibits such as axes and cutlasses recovered.
