Nkaleke Achara Community Primary School, the only primary school in the area has been destroyed by rainstorm.

Consequently, the pupils numbering over three hundred have been forced out of school.

A resident from the community, Sunday Izziogo told Bounce News that heavy wind blew off the entire roof of the buildings on Tuesday.

He said though the school blocks were already old and were partly damaged, they were managing them for schooling activities before the heavy rain finally pulled them down.

"The truth is that the buildings were already bad before the wind came, because they ‎were already old and needed rehabilitation. That primary school is the oldest primary school in this side of Nkaleke.

"I could remember that the first block there was the one used in the takeoff of the school. It was after that, the second block (structure) was contracted, but those who constructed it lack the expertise.

"Though, it would be said that the heavy wind destroyed the building, we should also not forget that they needed renovation before the wind.

He called for urgent attention of government and other concerned individuals and groups to come to the rescue of the community to secure the education of their children.
