Queen Elizabeth Honours Nigerian Lady For Redefining Nudity
The dream of a Nigerian hero residing in the UK has come true after she was honoured by Queen Elizabeth.
Ade Hassan was honoured for redefining nudity through her brand of lingerie.
She received her Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) award at the Buckingham palace after being named the 2017 Queen’s Honours list to receive an MBE for services to fashion.
The young lady, who is the founder of lingerie and hosiery brand Nubian Skin, was awarded for the impact she made in the fashion industry.
Ade Hassan from Ogun state, created Nubian Skin in 2013 and launched the brand in late 2014.
According to her, she decided to create something after being frustrated by the lack of diversity in nude lingerie and hosiery.
Hassan has continued to develop the brand with successful additional lines added alongside the original nude lingerie and hosiery.
