He felt marginalised and insulted, so he turned his back on the fame and started all over again.

Peter Okoye was one half of the famous Psquare, but claims his twin brother and group partner, Paul Okoye insulted his family and would not apologise, so he left the group to start a solo musical journey as Mr P.

Peter, who is presently in in Kenya, said in an interview in the East African country, that “Psquare can only come back if the respect comes 100%.

"I don’t disrespect my brother’s wife neither his family, but he does that to me all the time.

"He’ll insult me and my family in public, on Instagram, and the next minute he’ll wait for me backstage for us to perform together. I can’t do that.

"One thing is for sure, I took a vow to protect my wife and kids the day I got married and I stick to that".

For a group that had 3 break ups in recent times, with the last one almost breaking out into a fist fight, it goes beyond just reconciling for Peter Okoye, who says that the underlining problem has not been solved.

Mr P says he wants his family to apologise to his family, and also wants the insults he claims that were directed at him, his wife Lola, and his children to end.

“If Psquare is going to come back we need to settle that issue. Psquare might come back, they might not come back.

"I pulled out the plug because I felt the disrespect coming from my family (was) getting too much. There’s something we call marginalisation. Don’t ever be a slave because you want to be family.” he added.
