Yusuf Buhari needs prayers now and the staff of the Presidential Villa on Thursday in Abuja took the lead in offering prayers for the son of President Muhammadu Buhari who was involved in a bike accident on Tuesday night in Abuja.

They offered special prayers for the quick recovery of the president’s son.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the prayer session, was held immediately after the afternoon (Zuhr) prayer.

It was led by the Chief Imam of Aso Rock Mosque, Sheikh Abdulwahid Suleiman.

Suleiman prayed that the almighty God would continue to guide and protect the first family and all Nigerians.

He also prayed for peace, tranquillity and progress to reign supreme in Nigeria.

Among those at the prayer session were the President’s Aide-De-Camp (ADC), Col. Lawal Abubakar; Mr Garba Shehu, the president’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity; the president’s Chief Personal Security Officer, DCP Abdulkarim Dauda, as well other presidential aides and staff of the villa.

The prayer is coming two days after the son of the President was involved in an accident around Gwarimpa area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Mr Shehu confirmed the incident in a statement on Wednesday, saying that Yusuf was in a stable condition.

On Thursday, however, reports circulated that Yusuf Buhari had been flown to Germany for treatment, but Mr Shehu has also dismissed the reports saying they were fake news.

He insisted that Yusuf was still being treated at a private hospital in Abuja.
