Police Repel Attack On Police Station, Arrest Three Suspects
A team of Policemen on surveillance at Adama community, Ikorodu raided a den of cultists who specialize in ritual murder and kidnapping for ritual purposes.
This was on Monday, March 18, around 5.30pm following a tip off.
On sighting the Police, the bandits opened fire and equally used some of their hostages as human shields.
During the operation that lasted for about one hour, two Police Officers were injured and one Hadiyat Sikiru an 18-year-old female SS1 student was hit by a stray bullet.
However, the suspects were overpowered, and three suspects were arrested namely, Ahmed Hassan, Daniel Enyin and Olaniran Alium.
Later, an attempt was made by other members of the deadly gang to attack the police station at Imota area of Ikorodu.
It is suspected that this was to enable them free their arrested gang members, but their attempt was again met with stiff resistance by the policemen on duty.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Zubairu Muazu, has since directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Charge of Criminal Investigation, Panti to take over the case for in-depth investigation.
