Police Nab Fake Nurse In Ibadan
How Morili Balogun allegedly forged a nursing certificate and licence in her name is not the problem.
The issue for health management agencies to worry about is how she successfully used the forged documents to gain employment at the Ona-Ara Hospital, Ibadan.
The 35-year-old fake nurse was on Tuesday arraigned before a Grade A Customary Court, Iyaganku GRA, Ibadan for allegedly using a forged nursing certificate to get a job as a nurse.
According to the Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Bola Olookooba, Balogun and others (at large) allegedly conspired and committed the offence of forgery.
He said the offence was committed sometimes in 2011 and contravened the provisions of Section 465 and punishable under Section 467 of the Criminal Code of Oyo State 2000.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the two counts of conspiracy and forgery against her.
The President of the court, Mrs Basirat Gbadamosi, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Gbadamosi ordered that one of the sureties must be a blood relative, while the other must be a clergy or community leader.
She adjourned the case until March 26, for hearing.
