Police Confirm 'Rivers Headless Bodies' Were Victims Of Cult Killings
The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed that the two severed heads abandoned at the popular SDA junction in Choba, Onio/Akpor Local Government Area were victims of cult killings.
Two severed heads were dumped in the early hours of Tuesday with the headless trunk abandoned on a farm at Ohwipa.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, who confirmed the incident to Bounce News, said the two youths were beheaded by members of a rival cult group.
He explained that while the beheaded youths were members of Degbam, their assailants were members of Icelander.
Omoni also explained that no person has come to claim the bodies of the deceased apparently because their death was as a result of a cult-related attack.

According to him “We were greeted by the news of their killing this morning when the CSO of that community called the DPO, alerting him of what had happened. So, our men went there and saw two heads.
“The two heads were found close to the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Information led policemen to where they recovered the trunks of those heads. They now evacuated the bodies and took them to the mortuary.
“The preliminary investigation conducted showed that it was a cult-related killing, a show of supremacy. Members of Icelanders attacked Degbam and those that are dead were members of Degbam.
“We have been able to identify them and efforts are on to also identify the killers. We have been able to restore normalcy and people are beginning to go about their normal businesses.”
The state police spokesman called on members of the public to avail the security outfit of any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
“We appeal to members of the public to avail us with useful information that will lead to the arrest of the killers because we know they live among us.”
