An Islamic spiritualist collected 53 bags of rice as bribe, but did not see the police coming.

Abdulrazaq Buhari has been arrested along with 3 smugglers by police in Katsina State in connection to smuggling.

The police said Buhari, who lives at Sabon-Gida area in Katsina, was arrested after the confession by members of the gang that he assisted them with prayers and also fortified them with spiritual powers when they go out for operation.

For his latest consultation fee, the gang had allegedly paid Buhari with 53 bags of rice and 20,000 Naira cash.

The three men were arrested over the weekend along Katsina/Jibia border road as they were driving a stolen Toyota Highlander to Niger Republic, where they allegedly sold stolen vehicles.

The Toyota Highlander was reportedly snatched at gunpoint in Eleme, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The spiritualist claims that he had only worked twice for the gang, adding that the second operation led to his arrest.
