Domestic football in Nigeria has gotten some boost over the last year especially with investors and cooperate sponsors taking advantage of the seeming 'peace and order'.

But that confidence appears to be waning with recent cases of poor officiating and improper conduct by some club officials and their fans.

Osun United are the latest victims.

Reports suggest the team's bus was vandalised by suspected hoodlums during their away game against Sunshine Stars of Akure at the Dina Dipo Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

The Spokesman of the Team, Tunde Shamsudeen who has confirmed the incident, said they were attacked immediately after their away game in the ongoing Aiteo (Federations') Cup Championship.

At least eight buses belonging to the team were vandalised.

He, however, noted that both the team and the fans did not sustain any injury.

The first leg of the encounter had ended 1-0 in favour of United at the Osogbo city stadium on Wednesday.
