PHOTOS: Trouble For Osun Petrol Stations Selling Above N145
No fewer than four filling stations have been sealed in Osogbo, Osun state capital.
The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Osun state did the clamp-down.
They targeted fuel marketers in the state capital on Wednesday morning to enforce the official pump price of ?145 Naira per litre.
While some fuel stations were sealed for selling above pump price, some others got the axe of the agency for hoarding fuel.
Before sealing the stations, men of NSCDC and that of the DPR sold the products to commuters at the official pump price.
The sweetest part of the drama was that as other filling stations heard the news, they started selling at 145 per litre.
If only this intervention had been made since Bounce News reported the trend, Osun residents would have had a more pleasant Christmas celebration.
