PHOTOS: Thousands Of Benue Residents Protest Herdsmen Killings
Thousands of residents of Benue State took to the streets on Wednesday to protest the gruesome killings of their family and friends by herdsmen.
At least 20 people were killed in Tuesday’s attacks on Guma and Logo Local Government Areas of Benue State.
Several others were severely injured, with over 50 people being treated at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital.
It took President Muhammadu Buhari 24 hours to react and condemn the killings, but the people had already taken to the streets before his statement.
In Wednesday’s protest in Makurdi, thousands of people were seen expressing their pain, blocking major roads and hoisting burn-fire.
