America's Got Talent finalist and singer, Kechi Okwuchi took a very bold step by sharing her bikini pictures on Instagram.

The 28-year-old, who was one of the two survivors of the 2005 Sosoliso plane crash that killed 107 passengers, wore a two-piece swimsuit to the beach, and ditched her wig too.

Sharing the photos, she revealed that she feels more confident and less self-conscious of her numerous burn scars.

She wrote: "It’s been so long since I’ve been to the beach & I gotta say, I found myself feeling more body confident and less scar conscious than the last time I was at the beach, despite being bigger now than I was then, and the crazy thing is I thought I was totally fine then! Lol it’s weird, but good weird.

On December 10, 2005, 16-year-old Kechi Okwuchi and 60 of her boarding school classmates were flying home to Port Harcourt, Nigeria, to be with their families for the holidays.

20 minutes before landing, the plane crashed, killing all but two of its 109 passengers.

Kechi was one of the two who survived.

She suffered third degree burns in over 65 percent of her body. She has undergone over 100 surgeries, including releases of burn scars, skin grafts and ear reconstruction.
