The Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has played a condolence visit to Super Eagles Assistant Captain Ahmed Musa who few days ago lost his mum.

Lalong who described Musa as worthy son of Jos prayed for the repose of the soul of late Mrs. Sarah Moses.


“The loss of a mother is one of greatest tragedy that can befall anyone. As one who personally knows this pain,I condole with this National Icon & beloved Son of Jos, Super Eagles Vice Captain @Ahmedmusa718 ,over the death of his mother Serah Moses. May Her Soul Rest In Peace. Amen” the governor wrote on his twitter handle after visiting the Nigeria international.

Aside from the governor, the General Manager of Plateau United Football Club of Jos, Pius Henwan has equally paid a condolence visit; describing the death of Mrs Sarah Moses as a loss not only to Musa’s family, but to Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole.

The General Manager said the club received the news of Mrs Sarah demise with shock and disbelief and expressed optimism that she is resting in the bosom of the Lord.

He urged Musa and the family to accept her death as an act of God stressing that it is the end of all mortals as ordained by the almighty.


Responding on behalf of the family, Ahmed Musa thank the General Manager and management of  the Club for the visit noting that the family is comforted with their show of concern.

Musa noted that his mother was given the best treatment, but could not survived it adding that the family has accepted her passing away as an act of God.
