“All your problems I know say solution na ego,” Mayorkun sang, as the students of the University of Lagos flowed with the rhythm, singing every line like they were in the studio with him on the day he recorded the song.

Little did some of them know that their dinner was on the singer, Mayorkun Adewale, who was recently robbed in Enugu in south east Nigeria.

Wednesday night for the lucky students was a day to remember, as they did not leave the venue empty handed.

The sports complex was full and every space was taken by the students who were dancing and having fun.

Very close to the stage where I stood to get few shots, some students were pushing the barricade to catch a better glimpse of Mayorkun days after robbers shared from his 30 billion dream.

His jewellery was stolen, but after the artiste removed his red top and threw it to the crowd, another beautiful jewellery was revealed, as he thrills the students.

The top must have triggered a kind of preparedness and more anticipation on the part of the students, with hope that money could follow, since the song had a line: “Na you wey go chop all my money o”.

Mayorkun came prepared and the students were not disappointed.

Excited by their responses and mastery of his song entitled 'Mama’ the young man dipped his left hand in his white trouser's pocket brought out some Naira notes (1,000 Naira denomination) and threw it to the students who were having fun.

The shorter students were immediately disadvantaged, as the long hands grabbed the notes in the air – Dinner was settled.
