Nigeria’s Falconets managed a slim 1-0 victory over hard-fighting Haiti to revive any hope of advancing from the group stage of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

Rashidat Ajibade’s 36th minute penalty goal was all Nigeria needed to bounce back to winning ways after suffering a 1-0 defeat in their opening fixture against Germany.

In front of a few fans at the Stade de Marville, Saint-Malo, Nigeria knew only a victory is good enough to see them out of the group now dominated by Germany, who beat China 2-0 in an early kickoff.

Nigeria will now face China, who also has three points, in the final game of Group D on Monday.
