Top level football is coming back to Aba after over two years.
Following the completion of Enyimba Township Stadium, the Peoples' Elephant on Friday trained on the turf and the feeling in town was great as the champions are back for good.
For over two years, Enyimba International Football Club have been playing their domestic and international cup home games at the U.J Esuene Stadium, Calabar, Cross River State and other stadia in the country.
The incumbent Governor of the state Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu decided to embark on renovation work at the stadium, and that has been completed now.
On their official facebook page, the Aba Landlords wrote: First training session inside our revamped stadium. Couldn't have felt any better. 18 days until we play our first competitive game on this incredible surface
