Africa's richest man and Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has handed over 150 GAC saloon cars to the Nigeria Police Force to boost their operations. 

The vehicles were presented to the government at the Eagle Square, Abuja on Wednesday by Dangote.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibarahim Idris, received the cars.

After he received the cars, he said Nigeria needed more people like Aliko Dangote.

Also at the handing over event were the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Honourable Sileiman Lasu, Interior Minister, Lieutenant General Abdulrahaman Danbazau, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Musthapha and Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki.

The 150 GAC was presented by Aliko Dangote Foundation to the Nigeria Police.

It came a day after Dangote said he would prefer to be known as Africa's most philanthropic individual than the richest man in Africa.
