Unknown gunmen have killed two young men in the early hours of today Thursday 5th April, 2018 in Asso village, Jema'a local government.

The victims were said to be returning to the Village after taking a sick relation to the Hospital in Kafanchan.

This will be the third time that an attack will be carried out near the uncompleted Asso bridge.

This comes less than a week after the killings in Bakin Kogi in Kaninkon Chiefdom where 6 persons were brutally murdered by unknown gunmen.

Meanwhile, the deceased have been identified as Istifanus Yohana and Martins Moses Niza.

Reacting to the attack, the member representing Jema'a and Sanga federal constituency Honourable Shehu Garba lamented that these attacks are being perpetrated in the absence of any provocation  and despite the presence of security personnel within the vicinity.

"Until the State is able to fish out, expose and punish the perpetrators of these heinous crimes, for so long will these criminals continue on their path of perfidy.

"To our Communities, one cannot over emphasise the necessity for internal vigilance.
