Monday, September 4, was another day for the Super Eagles of Nigeria to cement their chances of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in a return leg game in Yaounde, Cameroon.

President Muhammadu Buhari wanted to get a share of the exciting moments that many Nigerians were looking forward to after watching the Super Eagles trash the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 4-0 in Uyo, a city in Nigeria's southern region.

The return leg ended in a 1-1 draw, living Nigeria with 10 points from 4 games and topping the group table.

A spokesman for President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina, shared images of the President watching the game from his home town in Daura with keen interest.

The president is in Katsina State to mark the Eid el Kabir and is expected to return to Abuja on Tuesday, to resume work. 

He has received several visitors including the Governor of Katsina, the Emir of Katsina, his classmates, elders, politicians and farmers association among others.
