Top sporting legends; Peter Rufai, Olumide Oyedeji and Falilat Ogunkoya are set to hold a sports clinic in Lagos.

The exercise, as explained, is geared at imparting knowledge in young ones keen to marry their educational pursuits with their sporting talents.

The Sports clinic scheduled for April 15 through 20th is facilitated by Chrisland Schools who have adopted the trio of Rufai, Oyedeji and Ogunakoya as their sports ambassadors.

Speaking on the planned sports clinic, former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Rufai said he was indebted a great deal to Nigeria hence he would take on any opportunity to give back to the society through avenues like this.

“I am very grateful to Chrisland for deeming it fit to pick me as one of their sports ambassadors, anywhere I go, I tell them Nigeria made me not Europe so whenever I have the chance to give back to the society in situations like this, I gladly embrace it” Rufai a former captain of the Nigeria national football team stated.


On this part, Oyedeji who is one of the country’s basketball legends and a former NBA player emphasized the need to always help nurture talents right from their early stage.

“Yes, we have a duty to help the children right from their early stage, I know the value of sound education and sports mixed together; that is what made me what I am today, and I am ready to help others” he said.

As stated by the Manager for Chrisland Schools, Ibironke Awoyemi between 60-100 kids are expected at the Easter Sports clinic that would take place at the School’s Sports High-Performance center in Idimu, Lagos.

She said: We believe this clinic will help the children a lot especially with the legends that we be on hand to handle the session. Our dream is to see that every Nigerian child fulfills their educational and sporting potentials”
