PDP To Punish Ifeanyi Ubah, Buruji Kashamu
The party is bigger than any individual and its constitution must be upheld.
The Peoples Democratic Party has suspended Ifeanyi Ubah, Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Ltd for dissent.
Ubah was one of the governorship aspirants that contested the party's primaries ahead of the Anambra polls.
He was suspended for making disparaging allegations against the party over the election which he lost to Oseloka Obaze.
The PDP National Caretaker Committee, Publicity Secretary, Dayo Adeyeye said the decision was reached by the party National Caretaker Committee.
He also said the party has issued a query to Buruji Kashamu, a senator from Ogun state, for his meddling in affairs of the party's state chapter.
Adeyeye said the party has referred Ubah and Kasamu to the party’s Disciplinary Committee.
“Dr Ubah while expressing his dissatisfaction with the decisions of the national caretaker committee on the report of the Anambra guber appeal panel which affirmed the election of Hon Oseloka Obaze, made several allegations against the party over which he was queried. The matter has been referred to the national disciplinary committee for further action.
"In the same vein, the party also queried Senator Buruji Kashamu over his involvement in some issues in Ogun state chapter of the PDP", he said.
