The Peoples Democratic Party has inaugurated new caretaker committees for the party in Ogun, Borno and Kebbi States.

The inauguration followed the dissolution of the executives in the respective chapters at the recently concluded non-elective national convention of the party held in Abuja.

The committees were inaugurated by the Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee of the party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi on Wednesday in Abuja.

While Abdulahi Wali heads the Kebbi committee, Abdulmalik Mahmud and Tunde Odanye, were named as heads of the Borno and Ogun chapters respectively.

Inaugurating the committees at the party’s national secretariat, Makarfi said, “We don’t have luxury of time. We won’t allow circumstance to hold us back.

"We called both sides. You can’t force everybody to come. We thank all those that came. He said the state executives were dissolved to ensure unity in the party. He asked the committees’ members to go back to your states and constitute ward and local government committees in conjunction with other stakeholders of the party."
