Thirteen Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirants in Benue State have rejected the reported return of Governor Samuel Ortom to the party.

PDP National Executive Committee is expected to hold an emergency meeting on Monday to clear the way for the likely defectors and approve waivers for them.

The aspirants made their disapproval known in a press conference on Monday.

They said while they were not against the return of defectors; they were against people with negative values.

The PDP aspirants also described the Governor as a “liability”.

One of the aspirants, John Tondu said: “The governor of Benue State today is a liability, not an asset. He’s not welcomed.”
