Alaba went to pray to God, but did not know he was going to see his maker a few minutes later.

The husband and father of two was killed by trigger happy police men who accompanied Fuji star, Pasuma Wonder in the Ijanikin area of Lagos state.

The armed law officers  are believed to have  fired on the ground to disperse the crowd after Pasuma had finished performing, most likely to clear the crowd that gathered to meet with the star.

The bullet bounced of the ground and hit ALaba on the chest.

Alaba was immediately rushed to a private hospital in the community, but was later referred to Igando General Hospital. He died on the way to the hospital.

Aside Alaba, who lost his life, 3 other fans were injured and are presently receiving treatment in an unnamed hospital.

In the words of Alaba’s family member, Sulaimon Ajani, “Alaba was returning from mosque where he went to observe the Friday prayer when a stray bullet hit him on the chest. In fact, he went to Ilogbo, a neighboring village to buy some materials for furniture. On his way back, he decided to stop over at the nearby mosque and observed his Friday prayers. As he left the mosque and was heading towards his shop, a stray bullet from police gun hit him on his chest.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Olarinde Famous-Cole, confirmed the incident, and said that the policemen have been arrested and detained.
