You probably have heard of the interview televangelist Tunde Bakare granted a certain Heritage Media in Canada.

In the interview, Bakare, who is the serving overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly (LRA), says he has told President Muhammadu Buhari that he (Bakare) will become the 16th president of Nigeria.

Bakare said President Buhari is the 15th president or head of state of the country, suggesting that he (Bakare) will be the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This implies Bakare believes President Muhammadu Buhari will win in 2019 to leave the stage in 2023 when he would contest to take over from him.

The fiery preacher and lawyer said he is currently building a political family from across the world, which would be deployed for future political aspirations.

Bakare had initially said in January 2018 that politics is not over for him, saying he would run for president in due course.

In the interview, Bakare was asked to further explain his political aspirations and plans to run for president.

He said: “As far as politics is concerned, it is not over truly; you would find out that I shifted gear in the year 2018, I did what I have never done before,” noting that he has informed President Buhari about his plan, just so he is not misunderstood.

“And I told Mr. President because I don’t want to be misunderstood, because these things are being aired all over the world.

“I said Mr. President, I am building a political family for future political aspirations; you’re number 15, I’d be number 16.”
