Oyo Guber Candidate Vows To Clear Pensioners’ Arrears Within 3 Months
One of the major tasks on the mind of Oyo Alliance for Democracy (AD) governorship candidate, Hakeem Alao, is how to make life better for pensioners and civil servants.
If given the chance to serve as the governor of the state he will make the issue of pensioners in the state his topmost priority.
Alao flagged off the campaign of his party on Saturday, January 12 at Adamashingba stadium in Ibadan and took the stage to share his plans and passion.
Engr. Alao said "the government to be directed by the AD in the state will show much concern to the plight of our senior citizens popularly referred to as pensioners.
"I also promise that their monthly pension will be paid regularly, we will within three months in office release fund for the payment of their outstanding arrears.
"I will make sure that our pensioners are well taken care of, if you pay the pensioners their regular arrears, and the civil servants are well taken care of, the society will be at peace because money will be in circulation."
If it was down to just this plan and the population of civil servants and pensioners in the state, Alao would easily win the Oyo governorship election.
However, he has to overcome Adebayo Adelabu of the APC, Seyi Makinde of the PDP, Femi Lanlehin of the ADC and former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala.
