Unless you want to be left out in the information economy, you do not want to take for granted the need for some capacity building in information technology, IT.

So, if you are still a student, you have a chance to get some empowerment within this period.

One of such opportunities would be provided by the Nigerian Computer Society, NCS.

The Abuja Chapter of NCS plans to train over one million students across Nigeria IT through its initiative called “Code One Million”.

The Chairman of the chapter, Mr Rex Abitogun, told reporters in Abuja on Wednesday that the society had established the programme to empower people especially students.

“One major programme that we are doing now is "Code One Million" that is an initiative of Nigeria Computer Society. We plan to train over one million students across the country in IT usage and that is something we are working on,” Abitogun said.

He also noted that that the NCS would continue to partner with key stakeholders in the industry to make sure that the usage and adoption of Information Technology was promoted.
