“First of all, in my entire life, I have never seen a country as useless as this country in my entire life. How can I come to the airport and you are telling me to pay for my family to come into airport? You are telling me that you cannot allow my family to come in because of security [issues]?''

Many of you will remember the above words as part of an outburst by actor Aremu Afolayan where he called out President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Ethiopian Airlines and Murtala Muhammed Airport officials for frustrating travelers.

In a video post on his social-media handles on Sunday, the Yoruba actor expressed displeasure with the "unprofessional attitude" of Immigration officials at the airport.

He questioned why immigration officials would conclude that a passport is fake without even making attempts to verify.

Now, 48 hours after the outburst, the actor has said the issue his niece had with her passport has been resolved.

He went on to thank the Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo for helping to resolve it.

He said the air has been cleared and they have all apologised to each other. He added that his outrage was simply because he is an angry Nigerian who wants the country to be better.

He also thanked those who denied him after his rant went viral. He didn't call names but his brother Kunle Afolayan is the only one who came out in public to distance himself from Aremu's actions so social media users have concluded that his message was for Kunle.

Aremu said, "I want to say I'm sorry to Mr President and to my family and to the people who denied me, I want to say a big thank you to you too because if you've not denied, I won't still be standing here, I guess so."
