Members of Gona community in Akko local government area of Gombe State are disappointed with the performance of the senator and member of House of Representatives representing them at the National Assembly.

They have promised to use their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to tell the world that their previous choices of Senator and Member House of Representatives were a wrong one.

The aggrieved community of Gombe central senatorial district say their senator and elected member House of Representatives have failed to take their problems to the upper chamber or look for other means of solving them.

The community are aggrieved because of the failure of the lawmakers to assist them in solving their electricity problem.

A member of the community Ahmed Sanusi said, "We had written to our local government chairman, notified renowned sons of our LGA, senior government officials including our Senator Danjuma Goje and members of House of Representatives, Sama'ila Kashere but they all turn deaf ears to our problem."

Some members of the community were seen happy while others were seen trying to fix the electrical wiring of their houses as the Emir of Gombe Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar has said there will be light again in the community.

The Emir came to their rescue by single handedly fixing the damaged transformer.

Abdulkadeer Ahmed and Yakubu Ibrahim, residents of the community said, “We appreciate the Emir of Gombe and thank him as he has proven that he has the masses at heart. As for our so-called politicians we will be here waiting for them.”

Abubakar, who doubles as the chairman Gombe State Council of Emirs and Chiefs, has always promised to, on behalf of the Emirate Council, look for ways to improve the living standard of the entire people.
