Otedola Bridge Accident: 7 Days Later, Another Tanker Almost Falls (PHOTO)
The unfortunate fire incident that happened at the Otedola Bridge end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Thursday, June 28, has kept our eyes on tankers laden with petrol.
That unfortunate incident left 12 people dead and destroyed over 50 vehicles.
48 hours after a video emerged online, where an NNPC tanker laden with fuel was leaking. The motor boy was seen trying to block the spill with a cloth.
The vehicle was still in motion at Maryland in Lagos.
Shortly after that another tanker, carrying kerosene caught fire along the Suleja-Minna road in an early morning head-on collision with a trailer, leaving five people injured.
On Wednesday, July 4, a fuel-laden tanker almost crashed on the road at Moshalashi roundabout, inward Ipaja Ayobo Road in Alimosho area of Lagos.
The tanker, which almost fell over luckily stopped and the area has been cordoned off.
Officials of the Lagos State Transport Management Authority (LASTMA) and other traffic officials were seen trying to bring the situation under control.
