The candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP,  Senator Iyiola Omisore says the voting process in Osun state is bad, and complained that there were a number of irregularities at various polling units.

He made this known while speaking to journalists after casting his vote a Moore Ward 1, Polling unit 003, inside Yemoo, National Museum extension, Moore, Ile-Ife.

Omisore condemned the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), for failing to organizing a proper election.

He complained that there were  insufficient electoral materials in some polling centers in Osogbo, and  malfunctioning of card readers in some voting centers in  Ile-Ife.

"The voting process is very slow, people have been here since morning, and they have not voted, I believe that there is a ploy to delay the process of release of results so that we would lose here. I have gotten reports  from all over the state about election malpractices, card readers not working well, some places have not gotten electoral materials" he said.

The SDP candidate also claims that he had been told that people were offered money in exchange for their votes.

"I heard rumors of vote buying but people are resisting it, but APC is struggling to buy votes here, but they have failed. Except they (INEC) address the issues of irregularities and vote buyers, the process is not encouraging at all" he added.

Omisore also alleged that people were offered 2,000 Naira for their votes.
