#OsunDecides2018: Why Osun People Are Still Angry With Tinubu
Some persons in Osun State are not happy with a former Governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Tinubu.
He was not one of the candidates in the state's governorship election, but he is the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Some of the voters ,who had a chat with Bounce News, referred to the APC leader in their comments.
A gathering of supporters of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke, in the governorship election expressed their grievances with what they called control of their state government by the former Lagos State governor over the affairs of the state.
They said they were tired of Tinubu ruling them from Lagos State.
"We are tired of Tinubu. We want something different," they continued to scream.
They also insisted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should do the right thing.
After declaring the election inconclusive, INEC said it would hold a re-run on September 27.
Tinubu had before the election, stirred controversies in Osun State, saying the state is not as wealthy as he his.
Denying claims that he wanted to install a governor in the state, Tinubu told the Ataoja of Osogbo, Jimoh Olanipekun, that he had no plan to install a puppet in the state to suck its treasury dry as being peddled by his traducers.
The former Lagos state governor spoke while paying homage to the traditional ruler when the APC campaign train visited the Ataoja’s palace to present the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Gboyega Oyetola.
INEC declared the election inconclusive and there is a popular belief that the pressure of the people that had throng the office of the INEC paid.
There are also insinuations that the decision could have been different if the people had not laid siege to the result collation centre.
They stayed all through the heavy rain, chanting songs in anticipation of the result.
They will have to wait for four more days at the least before the result would be announced.
