Reprieve appears to have come the way of embattled Sen. Ademola Adeleke as the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has confirmed that the candidate of PDP for Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State, sat for its examination in 1981.

The sub-regional examinations body made the confirmation in its response to an order made on September 11 by a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in Bwari, Abuja, directing it to produce Adeleke’s result.

The court gave the order while ruling on an application filed by the duo of Wahab Adekunle Raheem and Adam Omosalewa Habeeb against Senator Adeleke and two others.
