The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its schedule of activities for the governorship election in Osun State slated for September, 2018.

According to a document signed by the National Secretary of the APC, Mai Mala Buni, the party’s activities will commence with sale of forms on Monday, July 9, 2018.

Screening of aspirants is slated for Saturday, July 14, 2018, while the primary election to pick the party’s gubernatorial flagbearer will hold on Thursday July 19, 2018.

Bounce News recalls that the primary election initially penciled for Saturday, July 7 was shifted despite opposition by some party members.

The shift is alleged to have the footprints of Governor Rauf Aregbesola all over it.

The July 7 date was ratified by the out gone national executive led by John Oyegun, to allow for two weeks for resolution of whatever conflicts arise from the process as done in Ondo and Ekiti States.

According to the deadline of electoral umpire, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) all political parties have till July 23 to resolve disputes from primary elections.
