Osun 2018: Late Arrival Of Materials Mar APC Primary Election
The late arrival of electoral materials and outright absence of electoral officials appear to have marred the APC's governorship primaries in Osun.
Members of the party were out as early as 7:30am in some local councils areas.
The exercise is also threatened by voter apathy as turn out for exercise seems rather poor.
The APC Electoral Committees scheduled voting to commence at 8:00am in the 30 local governments including the Area Office, Modakeke.
Bounce News correspondent, who monitored the elections in Ayedaade, Ede and Irewole local government areas reported that at 10:20 am, voters were seen waiting for materials.
At ward 4, Otun Olufi Secondary School, Gbongan, voters were seen waiting for electoral materials just as in ward 9, AUD primary school, Atile Ikire.
Also in Ward 7, Eripa, ward 4, 5 and 6 Igbajo in Boluwaduro Local Government among others, voters were seen waiting for arrival of electoral materials and officials.
There were also no election materials at Ward 4, Otun Olufi in Gbogan and Ward 9, Ikire as at 11am.
However, our correspondent observed a large voters turn out in Ede.
Intending voters were seen loitering around some of the venues for the exercise.
One of the APC members, who came to Ward &, Ede to vote, Ganiyu Kasali told our correspondent that he had been at the venue since 8am and did not know when materials would arrive.
There were also reports of a large voters turnout in Boripe local government.
