Another strong man is emerging in East Africa.

His name is Paul Kagame.

He has just won himself Rwanda’s presidency for a third time and Nigeria’s Acting President Yemi Osinbajo is attending his inauguration to show solidarity.

Osinbajo on Friday, arrived Rwanda’s capital Kigali, to join other leaders in the continent and around the world to show their support for the Rule of Law.

Osinbajo was accompanied by top government functionaries including the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama and the Economic Adviser to the President.

While in Kigali, the Acting President will attend President Kagame’s inauguration ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. local time at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.

Prof. Osinbajo is also expected to attend the inauguration luncheon organized for visiting presidents as part of the inauguration ceremony.

The Acting President will return to the country later on Friday.

Reports coming in say the Rwandan capital is wearing a new look as the country welcomes special visitors and even citizens from abroad.

Kigali International Airport is reported to be a beehive of activity as visiting VIPs arrive the country for the ceremonies for Kagame’s inauguration.

Security is also beefed up on major routes to the venues for the swearing-in ceremony and the inauguration luncheon.
