He made just two substitute appearances for Wolfsburg last season but things should look better for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen this term going by his form in preseason.

Osimhen scored a brace in a test friendly against another German team, VfV 06 Hildesheim on Monday.

The 18-year old scored in the 29th and 87th minutes in the 6-0 routing as the Wolfsburg wrapped up their preseason preparations.

Monday’s goals took Osimhen’s tally to three in preseason.

The highly rated Nigerian striker was also among the goal scorers for Wolfsburg in their 8-0 win against a team of Veltins selection in their first preseason game.

Tipped to be a part of Wolfsburg front three next season, Osimhen may have enhanced his chances of playing alongside Mario Gomez and new signing Dimata.

Coach Jonker is a big fan of the Nigerian, and he showed his faith in the forward by turning down Inter-Milan after they approached Wolfsburg to have the forward on loan.
