For the third time in four years, Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala has been voted as Africa's Woman Player of the Year.

Oshoala won her latest CAF Award in Accra on Thursday night at an elaborate ceremony at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Though rendered redundant as far as national team duties are concerned, Oshoala was still able to finish ahead of the other two finalists, Chrestina Kgatlana (Banyana) and Gabrielle Onguene (Cameroon).

“When I left Arsenal to China, people said my career was over. Here I am winning this award once again.

“To all the young girls out there, don’t let anyone talk you down. Always follow your dreams.” Oshoala told the audience in Accra as she picked her latest silverware.
