Ondo Market Fire: 52 Year Old Shop Owner Dies Of Heart Attack
The havoc wrecked by the inferno that razed down about 100 locked up shops in Akure on Thursday has taken another dimension.
One of the shop owners, Mrs. Elizabeth Aina Orogun, whose shops were destroyed by the fire, reportedly died of heart attack.
Her death was confirmed by her husband, Jacob Orogun.
"My wife was hale and hearty before the fire incident. I never knew it would lead to her death.” He said pitifully.
One of the deceased friends, Mrs Adebimpe Akande, said the deceased was a very good and quiet person.
"It was shocking to hear she is dead. My friend was very hardworking and enterprising. Very humble to the core. I noticed she has not been herself since the fire incident happened. She lost everything in her shop and left with nothing." She said.
The deceased was said to have picked some snails around her house till 10pm before she got to bed.
A source within the family disclosed that the deceased complained of chest pain and was rushed to Police Clinic before she was referred to the General Hospital where she was confirmed dead.
The mother of five, who was the President of Office Documents Association of Nigeria, Akure chapter, died at 52, few days after the fire incident.
