Ondo APC Gov Primaries: Tension As Court Delivers Judgement
Anxiety, uncertainty, accusation and counter-accusation have continued to trail the mood and expectation in Ondo State.
The people of the state anxiously await the outcome of judgement between APC governorship aspirant, Segun Abraham and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The judgement, which is slated for Wednesday at the Federal High Court siting in Abuja, has continued to generate a war of word between the supporters of Abraham and Akeredolu.
In a statement by one of Abraham’s media aides, Akeredolu is allegedly plotting to either challenge the jurisdiction of the court to hear the case or blackmail the judge by requesting that the case is assigned to another justice.
According to him, all Abraham needs is for the governor to come out and defend the allegation leveled against him on the outcome of September 3, 2016 APC Governorship primaries.
Reacting to the allegation, the APC Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Adesanya described the allegation as a fabrication, saying that Akeredolu cannot manipulate any judgment because the case favours him.
“They are crying wolf where there is none. They should have confidence in the judiciary. They should not be jittery."
