Super Eagles Assistant, Captain Ogenyi Onazi has kicked against fresh legal tussles that may plunge Nigerian football into another round of crisis.

The relative peace witnessed in football circles in Nigeria may have been short-lived following the renewed legal tussle between the Chris Giwa faction and the present board of the Nigeria Football Federation.

The Supreme Court on Friday set aside the Appeals Court judgement which threw out Chris Giwa's case and has now referred the case back to High Court.

This paves the way for fresh legal fireworks as the Supreme Court has granted Giwa grounds to file a suit but must return to High Court.

Onazi feels Nigeria may be moving back to her worst periods and he has kicked against such distractions ahead of the World Cup.

''No... not again. The worst periods of our football in recent past were those times when we had these 'court' distractions. Let's not go back to those days. We need to support the NFF, the World Cup is just some days away'' Onazi tweeted.
