It seems he harder he tries, the more the club considers him surplus to demand. Or perhaps he is not just good enough.

Super Eagles first choice central defender, Kenneth Omeruo will have to walk alone out of Stamford Bridge.

He will not be in the traveling party when Chelsea jet out on a pre-season tour of Asia.

Not many are surprised with this latest snub of Omeruo as this has been the case since the defender joined the London club in 2012.

The Super Eagles star has over the years been shipped out on loan even though some reports suggest that Chelsea may also be considering offloading Omeruo completely.

Chelsea are set for a tour of Asia to continue their pre-season tour and are billed to fly out of London on Monday for China and Singapore.

Over the weekend, Omeruo captained a mainly U23 Blues team in a friendly against Crawley Town.

The Nigeria international played for 75 minutes and his performance in the 1-1 draw with the fourth-tier team was merely described as “comfortable”.
