Oliseh Suffers Setback In Holland
Nigerian coach, Sunday Oliseh is paying for the sins he knows next to nothing about.
Oliseh via a tweet on Tuesday stated that the Dutch FA has ruled for a 6-point deduction from his team owing to financial irregularities in 2016.
This development means that Oliseh's silent aspiration to get his second-tier club, Fortuna Sittard to secure a playoff spot and fight for promotion has been dealt a big blow by the Dutch FA.
Sad news @fortunasittard D Dutch FA deduct us 6 points 4 financial irregularities from 2016! Damages our silent playoff aspirations.Painful!— Sunday Oliseh (@SundayOOliseh) April 10, 2017
Only last weekend, Fortuna Sittard were able to secure a convincing 4-1 home win against Helmond Sport to take their points tally for the season to 38 points from 33 games.
It was one of the biggest wins by Oliseh since taking over the modest outfit.
Oliseh stated that he was quite sorry for his players, club official and fans for this latest painful development.
Grazie.well said, I feel for my players, staff, club & D fans who in D recent 3 months have finally started 2 walk with pride! God knows best! https://t.co/Dx5sKTUf9I— Sunday Oliseh (@SundayOOliseh) April 11, 2017
