Super Eagles defender Ola Aina is still feeling on top of the world after netting his first goal ever for Hull City over the weekend.

The goal by Aina was quite crucial as it earned Hull City a place in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup and by extension gave the Championship side their first win in six games.

While Aina is happy with his effort, he is also hopeful that this can mark the begin of better things for the Hull Tigers.

“This win was a confidence boost that the team needs and the club needs. Hopefully we can kick on from here. We can’t just say that, though, we have to do it.” Aina told Hull Daily Mail.

Aina’s focus remains on ending his season-long loan from Chelsea by keeping City in the Championship but he wants an FA Cup run to add glamour to a trying campaign at the KCOM Stadium.

“I wouldn’t mind a cup run,” said Aina. "Obviously the league is our main priority but to have a good cup run I don’t think you’d hear anyone complaining."
