Okorocha Admits Atiku’s Exit Not Good For APC
Imo State governor Rochas Okorocha has admitted the resignation of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is not good for the APC.
Atiku left the APC to rejoin the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as he aims to become Nigeria’s president.
Okorocha told journalists in Ondo State that Atiku is undoubtedly a heavyweight when it comes to politics in Nigeria.
“I have taken a holistic view of our party, it (Atiku’s exit) is not the best because no matter how anybody thinks, Atiku carries some political weight. His leaving our party is not the best.
He, however, noted that Atiku’s vacuum will be filled as the APC will not allow the exit affects its agenda.
Atiku was one of the top attendants at the PDP Convention held in Abuja on Saturday.
Speaking at the event, Atiku said he has returned to where he belonged and also called on others who have left the PDP to return home.
