OKAY! Grammy Denies Leaking Winners List
The organisers of the Grammy Award has reacted to a music chart data post that leaked a so-called list of winners.
Main Pop Data, which prides itself as a source for music news, put out a lengthy ‘list of winners’ for the upcoming Grammy ceremony claiming that Cardi B will take home the prize for Record of the Year for her hit “I Like It.”
It also revealed that H.E.R. and Lady Gaga would be winners along with Chloe x Halle and the Carters, but organisers of the award have come out to claim that the list is fake.
“There is no legitimacy to this.
"GRAMMY Awards results are not shared, even with Recording Academy staff members, until the day of the GRAMMY Awards ceremony, when names of the recipients are delivered by Deloitte in sealed envelopes,” the organisers said when interviewed.
The Grammy awards ceremony will be held on February 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be hosted by Alicia Keys
Miley Cyrus, H.E.R., Post Malone and Cardi B are among the stars scheduled perform on the night.
Hopefully Nigeria's Seun Kuti would bring home a Grammy Award.
Winners of the 2019 #GRAMMYS have apparently been leaked through their official website, with the "Big 3" categories named to the following:— Main Pop Data (@mainpopdata) January 29, 2019
